Hi Guys.
Would you consider joining IPMS:Ireland and if not, why not? What would you look for? If there's no active branch near you, would you consider forming one?

Just curious as we have 84 regisitered members on the forum, but just shy of half of that as IPMS:Ireland paid up members.

Parkadge,

You would be most welcome to join IPMS Ireland, or rather the IPMS Ireland chapter in Dublin, that is IPMS DUBLIN!

See you on the 20th November!

Philip,

Just to clarify, if someone joins IPMS Ireland, at the moment they join as a full member regardless of what area or branch they belong to.

AFAIK, we do not yet have organised for people to join as branch only members, where, like in the UK, they would still have to pay as the general public to enter any Nationals or enter any competition.

It is however, an interesting point that will need to be addressed in the future and one that should be raised at the next committee meeting.

Cheers,
Roy

Roy,

Mis-communication on my part here. Of course people join IPMS IRELAND, via the one membership form, and pay the subs to the overall organisation. Given our very small numbers, it would probably not be possible to do what they do in the UK, with its greater level of membership. This will be covered in the Articles of Association that Simon and I will be working on, for approval at the AGM in October 2011.

However, they tend to belong to, and attend, one of the branches, in this case the Dublin Chapter. Parkadge indicated that he would be attending the Exchange on next Saturday week, 20th November. I will have a membership form ready!!
