Hi all,

Currently trying to increase my modelling and painting skills before tackling the later stages of this kit.

As you can see Ive still a lot of work to do in regards sealing the gaps and cleaning the railings. I'd really appreciate any advice people could give me.

thats looking fantastic.
I think a U-Boat is a fantastic subject, and its somthing I`m promising myself that Ill do.. sooooon.
Though I want to do a VIIC and make it U-96 .. i think I`d like to put a little mp3 player inside with this!!

That's a beautiful kit Applause

Am using Humbrol filler, the one in the green tube, for larger gaps and thick superglue for smaller ones.
But it seems to me that you'd be better off with some bits of plastic stripe /Evergreen/ glued into the gap instead of filling it up.

And I have found something for inspiration:

Sorry 'bout the lingo, but pictures says more than 1000words

Thanks to all for the replies, tips, advice and support.

Hope to pick up a few bits over the weekend to make some progress with it. I'll be sure to document the precise point I make a mess of it d'oh!

The 1/144 is about 53cm

Havent measured the 1/72 Gato yet, I have that beast hidden out of sight to avoid the temptation of starting it :)
