I'd quite like to do a Gazelle, in 1/72nd scale, of course. I might do a Hurricane as well if I feel inspired but that remains to be seen.

If everything works out: Brisfit, SE5a, Anson late all in 1/48 /I do have a big plans and I am secretly hoping to get Gladiator and Vampire done too - ehm, ehm a lot of work in those two.../ anyway, I think that important is to get stuck to the workbench and we'll see next year...

Well, I must admit I'd like to do a Vampire as well. I was sussing them out at Telford, and apart from the Classic Airframe's kit ( which I can get on eBay ) A2Zee Models have started bringing out Resin Vampires and there's meant to be a 2 seater on the way so I'll be keeping an eye out for that!

Folks,

For everyone's information, the AGM of IPMS Ireland has already agreed that the theme for Telford 2012 would be the 90th anniversary of the Irish Aer Corps. So it is not a matter for debate, or future decision by branches or committees, nor for polls on the forum - the decision has been made.

That all sounds reasonable enough Philip! I know it was important to me, going to Telford, to 'do my bit' and man the table for a while, and I quite enjoyed it, meeting people and discussing models and techniques etc. I was glad to have added to the display on the table, but even if a build of mine wasn't there, I'd still want to represent IPMS Ireland.

I hadn't realised that the AGM had decided on the theme for Telford 2012, so that makes it a lot easier and, as you said, there's no need for voting etc. as the decision has already been made. And, as you said, room permitting, other builds are more than welcome to be displayed as well. So that seems fair and balanced, and while I won't be building any IAC stuff 'til the new year, I'm already thinking about it, figuring out what to do etc.!

To be fair, I took Filip's comment that 'next year it will be me and Armour heads ruling the display' as just an example that different themes and models will be there each year, and if 2012 is IAC, and that's not your cup of tea, then 2013 might be Armour and be right up your street! That's how I took it anyhow...

If you are not going to Telford next year then please, try to be positive and supportive of those who ARE going to contribute.

Jaysus, read my post properly as it is and think about it a bit... Jason got it right I wasn't reffering to 2012, but rather 'the year after the ship and watercraft display...'
And my point was, again, I do not have to bring my models for club display every year only to take part, but rather will get ready for themed display which is close to my heart.

May I respectively suggest that this thread has gone way off topic? Alan made a suggestion about the Telford 2012 GB, and it's now known by anyone who has read this thread that it's gonna be a Irish Air Corps theme.

I've set up an GB Thread in 'Current GBs'.

Thanks...

J.

This thread did go way off topic, and as such I've pruned what was not relevant to the original response to the original posters question. I've tried reading all the non-topic stuff, and all I could understand was that two people were desperately arguing to make the same point.....Bang Head
