04 01 2012 Just received the latest IPMS UK magazine which is a Telford 2011 special. Well done to Roy Kinsella for picking up to commendations in the 1/43 up to 1/72 scale (Jet) SK category for his RAF Jaguar and Macchi MB. 326 AMI. Well done! Liam

Hey Guys thanks so much! I'm very humbled by this post :)
Liam you really surprised me tonight with this thread mate, don't know what to say, I think "thanks" is a good place to start!
There was lots of real Irish talent (& Irish afliliated talent) on table that weekend in telford guys, I'm not trying to be modest but I truely don't know how I ended up being awarded these 2 commendations & some of the other guys walked away without a mention, it's bewildering! You guys know who you are & I think you share my thoughts, hopefully next year you'll get your just deserved recognition! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!
..I'm away from my PC at present but I'll dig up some photos tomorrow & post them for your curiosity
Thanks guys
Roy K :)

Roy Got the mag myself last evening when I arrived home. Congrats!! Getting one commendation, let alone two, at Telford is really a great recognition of quality modelling. Having been a judge there in 2010 - in the same class (among others) - I know well what a high standard there is in that competition. And they were in the "one true scale" too! looking forward to the photos.... Philip

Definitely. Top job Roy, they don't hand them out like sweeties, so the kits must be quality built and finished.
How do you eat an elephant.... ....start at one end and keep chewing.
On the bench: 1/24 Airfix Bf109 E OOB 1/24 Trumpeter Hurricane IIc, most definitely not OOB.
In the wings: Trumpeter Hurricane MkI, BoB in flight versus Airfix B2 Stuka, 1/24 dogfight double.
