Paul, don't give up hope just yet. I've heard of guys requesting parts from Heller via the website and they got no response... only to have the parts turn up the next week without charge! So if you've filled in an online form with your address then the part might arrive.
Failing that, try a post in the wanted section for the lads over on ARC or Britmodeller. They've been great to me in the past. One chap on Britmodeller supplied me with landing gear, wheels, refuelling probe, antennae, radome etc for an Airfix 1/72 E-3 that i found about to be binned and I'm refurbishing.
Hope to see a thread on your model. Maybe post your build? I'd like to see how you get on with it. I've one of these in the stash with resin engines that I'd love to get cracking on but as far as I can remember there's a lot of rescribing and a lot of raised rivets to deal with. I've got some nice decals for it but there's a lot if yellow to paint!
