The venue for the next meeting is arranged with the Aviation Education Centre, Atlantic Airventure Park, Shannon for 13.00 hrs on Saturday 27th September and are very happy to accomodate us every month.

If you tell people where to go, but not how to get there, you'll be amazed at the results. George S. Patton

This space is for rent.
(Sshhh! Don't tell the Revenue Commissioners, the IMF or the Dept of Finance, or they'll tax my stash!)

Won't be able to make it this time, lads, so my appologies...

Got stuck with work for next few days. Have 10days to do a paintwork which usualy takes 3weeks.
All the preparation should have been done by the owner to speed up the process and guess what? 2days gone and I haven't thouch the spray gun yet.

So see you next time for sure

Gentlemen

I'm looking forward to discussing plastic (and sunshine) in the new year

What's the supply of hobby shops in the Shannon / Limerick / Ennis area like? do I need to bring my paints?......

regards

Brent

Hi Brent,
There is another thread about No.11 blades and there's some insight into it: http://www.ipmsireland.com/forum/yaf_postst110_No-11-scalpel-blades.aspx
In general you can get Humbrol paints overhere and you can get Vallejo paints as well. No problems with oil paints and paintbrushes.

But the problem is with all those speciality products like weathering stuff, pigments, decal solutions, etc and if you are working with paints of other brand like Gunze or Tamiya then you will need to get those off the web. Well you might get lucky, but... That's my experience anyway

Hi there Brent.
In Limerick there is the Gathering, which deals mainly in Warhammer stuff, but do plastic models.
In Ennis, it's Tierneys. They are a hobby type shop, selling fishing gear, bikes and diecast, but they do the full Humbrol range and Airfix and some Trumpeter stuff.

Nowhere else though. Most of us either order online or go to Cork/Dublin to Mark's Models or that place at the top of O'Connell St.

Wyvern,

From Shannon town Take the Road in between the Mcdonalds / Petrol Station and the Oakwood arms, Keep going for about 100 yards an you will hit a sharp left turn with Cul De sac veering off to your right, keep going straight on and you will spot the shed on the Left hand side. If you go to far you will end up at a T Junction.

You cant miss it honestly!!

C ya there

George

Is MRS Burkes still open nearby, might get a Brekkie roll there on Saturday AM.

Hey Brent.
Follow the directions George has given. Come into Shannon, find the Oakwood Arms hotel and take the little road that runs bewteen it and the petrol station next door to it . Follow it around until you find the "Shed". You can't miss it. If you hit a t-junction, you've gone too far. Any problems, call me. email me at yeehahireland@yahoo.co.uk and I'll pass you my mobile number

I'll try and get it right next time.........

If anyone would like to get together in the interim to bash plastic, let me know

Next meeting will be held this Saturday 21st of January at the usual venue - Atlantic Airventure centre - in Shannon.

Bring some of your work in progress stuff, so we can do a bit of modelling while talking about this year's Nationals. Yes, it's time to start planning.
