As been discussed on Sunday in Telford this year, here is the official announcement and story line for everyone else who wish their Telford purchases get reduced.
When looking at the shopping bags some of us were bringing back home from SMW, idea was born of 'Telford Challenge'. The challenge itself is nothing complicated, in fact, it's very easy:
- To get at least 2 of the kits purchased in Telford finished for our Nationals in Dublin in October 2011. - In the case of aftermarket sets, kits should be finished incorporated these within the model - for example I've got Mercury engine, for my 1/48 Gladiator kit and so I will be building Gladiator.
It's not about building straight from the box, but rather about reducing our stash, so we can get some more next year. :d/
I am pretty sure that we can come up with some idea of presenting this challenge on the Nationals, either display of kits on special table or use some stencils to highlight those models on normal competition tables.
Your comments are appreciated and anyone, who wasn't in Telford this year ant do want to join us, is more than welcome.

OK - I'll sign up! (Mind you, given the amount of kits that I purchased in Telford , the first problem will be choosing which two to put forward for this group build.....) Can I suggest one further refinement - if people are willing - that we put up build progress posts as we go along, so that when we have finished, there will be a full story of what we did (as happens, for example, in the group builds on Britmodeller). Build up progress - Good idea.
Oh lucky me, bought only some aftermarket sets and books, which I love and I'm looking into them every day since. Anyway, I have chosen my ones: Gladiator /bough the Vector engine/ and 2 Kubelwagens /got etched numberplates and number decals/

Can I play too? I picked this up at Telford as I have enjoyed the TV series so much, so it will be one of my two entries(other entry still undecided). I will post more pics soon. Vincent VincentToo much plastic...not enough time

Liam The Viper is 1/32 injection plastic with a resin seated pilot to fill the cockpit. I have seen a couple of builds of it on the net and it looks sweet when finished, just hope I can do it justice.
