I have to say, it is a legend. Not mad about Spits, but seeing it - and hearing it - on Bray Air Display in those particular colours...that was something special. It made me feel so sad that none of these, or the Seafires, survived here, at home.

BTW, I like the discussion about the right shade of Green and the comparsion to the interior colour of the 'Spitfires'. Which can't really be used as an argument in this instance as, I believe, that TR.9, rebuild in the 50's had interiors painted in standard colour of British aircraft of the 50's: Black.
Looks like that some folk just love speculate just to speculate. Now, can of worms....anyone?

Filip:
Can you use that oil-weathering technique over acrylic paint jobs (provided you have sealed the paint job first with either Johnstons Floor Wax?

You can.
Some say that acrylics don't have to be sealed/protected, but it's always better to make sure that nothing nasty will happen to the paintjob.
