This was my first resin figure (but won't be my last now) and also my first attempt at ACU. Only my second "proper" figure effort., not counting efforts years ago that got OD, flesh & black boots

Some more pics:

I discovered I didn't have the right combination of eye-sight, steady hand and patience to paint ACU in the method described on some forums. Having tried the finest brush, toothpicks, pins & needles it just was not working for me.
So, I base coated the figure in dark sea-grey and allowed to dry. I then painted some light sea grey onto a dimpled surface and dabbed it up with a dimpled kitchen towel befoore dabbing onto the figure. The combination of dimples seemed to come close to a reasonable pattern but now that I've photographed and blown-up I'm not so sure. The camera also shows a lot of other bits I need to fix

My first real attempt at figures were these:

I think it looks amazing, especially the complicated camouflage. I can't imagine producing something like that.

1/35th - nice job, ACU is very difficult to capture correctly but I have to say you've nailed it as far as Im concerned, its something I find very difficult to do, keep it up good work

alan.

PS Are you displaying anything at the IMSS show?

Thanks guys.

I won't be entering anything at IMSS....I'll definitely make it up one of the days, but can't do both. Not sure which day yet.

Cheers
