Italeri is making a splash! After long weeks and months of waiting and speculations, the news has arrived. It's brand new tooling! Now what we need now is the MK.II b and c versions in the same class. Can't wait to get my hands on it, just carefully with that suggested IAC camouflage... http://www.italeri.com/NewsImgs/DOC_NEWS_000083.pdf

11 07 11 Very interesting. Amazed, in a way, that Airfix didn't do this. Would be even more interesting to see how much Italeri will be looking for it. New tool, photo-etch and a color booklet. That'll all add up. And the Sunderland looks promising too. Nice to see IAC markings on the decal sheet. Wonder what mark Hurricane Johnny Red flew? Liam

Nice to see IAC markings included as standard in this as well as the 1/72 Airfix Hurricane, a couple of years ago who would have thought it would happen. It will be interesting to compare this new kit to the old but accurate Airfix Mk1 and the hard to find Hasegawa Mk1.
But what I would like to see is an early Hurricane Mk1 with the two blade prop & a rag wing coming from one of the mainstream producers in 1/48 or 1/72. Looking at the layout, a new mould for a fabric wing may be possible, please Mr. Italeri??

I think it'll be around 25ish mark. Italeri isn't dear, in general similar price range as Revell and the quality is claiming too, so should be nice to see it out. Is it time to think about x-mas present yet?

Fise,
Thanks for the heads up.
I suspect that a couple of these, if they come out on time, will be competing for the ipms ireland trophy at D1 on October 2nd!

I was a bit off the mark, apparently recommended retail price in Germany is 35 quid, still not a bad price me thinks Maybe it'll be out before Telford and maybe there will be some special show discount on it?

Nice one, need two, so will be looking for a bit of hagglin' White Ensign Models: £24,99 and Scale Model Shop £26,99 although is still listed as 'out of stock'
Hopefully, there will be some good deals on it in Telford.

If you tell people where to go, but not how to get there, you'll be amazed at the results. George S. Patton This space is for rent.(Sshhh! Don't tell the Revenue Commissioners, the IMF or the Dept of Finance, or they'll tax my stash!)

Just a quick update: - Tamiya announced release of this model under their name, basically Tamiya will be re-packing Italeri plastic.
