Between getting over a bad cold and revamping my blog I've been working slowly on an AH-1 Cobra. I'm doing it up as a Fort Rucker training variant.

Now these particular helicopters have a 4-digit code on their tail and then on the fuselage they have the last two digits of the tail code and a letter. The tailcode is small but the fuselage code is much larger.

The problem I have is that all of my available decals are in black or grey and I need white ones.

Would anyone have any white alpha-numeric 1/72nd scale decals they could part with? It would help me finish the helicopter.

If it helps I'll be bringing the Cobra along to the next Dublin meeting in a week.

Approx what hight letters would you need? I don't have any in 1/72 but loads of bits & pieces in 1/32 or 1/35 that may do the trick. Let me check the spares box tonight

Cheers

I'll have a look at my spares box as well, I've done a couple of 1/72 that might have White lettering. I'll let you know...

Jason.

This might help; this is more or less what I'm trying to recreate. You can see the small 4-digit number on the tail and the larger ones on the fuselage, sort of. 1/35 scale decals might work for the fuselage.

There are a lot of white 1/32 Numerials in the Revell 1/32 Red Arrows Hawk kit that I definitely won't need as I'm doing a different scheme. They might work for the fuselage. I'll basically just bring along any spare white decals I have on Saturday!

J.

I have a set, but they may be too big. And i can't post a pic: PB & firewall acting up again

Nos 329 and 808 with 2 8mm decals and 3 3mm decals for each. I know you need 4 digit but you could combine them if needed.

Got PB working:

I'll see what Jason has on Saturday first and then get back to you. I've no opposition to cutting and splicing decals though.
