Lads, 447 kits in the stash, need to cull a few, Bargain prices. should be able to bring to Dublin show as long as good notice is given.

this is the 1st cull, may add to this shortlyUndecided

Anyhow heres the list, I have it laid out nice but it messes up when I preview the post, The list has the manufacturer, Product number, Type, scale and the number at the end is the asking price in Euros.

Hang on George!

"AIRFIX A03031 J2F-6 DUCK 1/72 sold
MATCHBOX 40003 P-12E 1/72 sold
AIRFIX A01031 DEFIANT NF.1 1/72 sold"

Are these three for sale?

If somebody has contacted you to buy them, after you put them up, then proper forum ettiquette is that that
person who is hoping to buy posts that they have PM'd you about those items...and that you reply saying sold to XXX

It's rather confusing otherwise....Mental

Soory Lads, The sold ones copied over from the Spread sheet I done up, did not spot them. They went ages back and not on the forum. I'll delete em.

George, you are well enough versed in the nuances of forum etiquette at this stage and should well know better than to show the total lack of respect and disregard for the definitions of what's right and wrong as has been demonstrated above. This sort of behaviour is totally unacceptable on an open forum and will not be tolerated in future. Is that clear?

And that miserable attempt at an excuse doesn't wash either. Boo hoo! I will have to consult with the other mods and decide whether we need to suspend you, have you Censored or just Banned

I shall be leading the charge with the pitchforks at tomorrows' meeting, you have been warned.

(p.s. I'll collect the P12, Duck and Defiant tomorrow night too if that's ok?)

If you tell people where to go, but not how to get there, you'll be amazed at the results. George S. Patton

This space is for rent.
(Sshhh! Don't tell the Revenue Commissioners, the IMF or the Dept of Finance, or they'll tax my stash!)

FISE, I made one of these some time back, I still have it in the loft somewhere and it came out pretty good and I did not use 10 tonnes of filler like the dude in your link.

If you read every review on kits you would never build one again, It certainly is not tamiya but still makes a nice model if you have the skill.

Maybe stick your stirring stick some where else. :)

Sure...maybe that's why it's 'somewhere' in the loft? Tease

Relax, you took it the wrong way, I'm not putting people off, just a bit of harmless tease.

Gotcha, Come down some day and see the 200+ kits that are made in loft, That were I keep them. I'll be gald to show you around.

I'll even give you one for nothing and see what you can do with it, I'm sure you be easy on the filler :)

Cheers

Oh dear, I didn't know there was a correct way of communicating on forums. I've always sent a PM in cases like this without letting the public know. I didn't think it was anyone's business to be honest. I always expected the seller to update the list as items were sold. Looks like I better brush up on my forum etiquette... I've never actually read any forum FAQs/guidelines so maybe that's why I didn't know this.

Very true George! I have great admiration for guys who take on the issues of old classics and turn around a fab looking model. I have far more respect for that than these Tamiya shake 'n' bake models where you can throw in a tube of glue into the box, shake it up, and out pops a built kit. Nothing is better than getting down and dirty with a kit, using a tube of filler on it, sanding, reshaping, rescribing, losing blood etc. Far more satisfying in the end. That's what the hobby is all about isn't it? And we are modellers and not 3D jigsaw puzzle makers. However, like you said, you gotta have the skillz! If a modeller doesn't have the skills and doesn't but the effort in then they can look, quite simply, Poo

For 3 quid............ ideal kits for someone to practice on and build their skills! Thumbs Up
