Blocked nozzle, or something isn't tight properly. But as it happened during spraying, my bet is that you have dry paint on the tip of the needle, blocking the nozzle and pushing the air into your paint reservoir. Especially if you are using waterbased paints without retardant added into them. Have a kitchen towell/toilet paper handy while spraying and wipe the tip of the needle/nozzle once in a while to get rid of any dried paint.

I've been trying out some camouflage examples with the airbrush on a scrap model, practising for when I get the Bronco to that stage. I was only loosely masking so it isn't perfect. I should also point out there's several layers of paint below this one so the surface is pretty rough. It's nothing special of course but I thought I'd share anyway.

That looks nice Sean. See the green on the port wing in the second picture? I'd never get that smooth line and shape with a nice thin layer of paint using a brush! Looking forward to seeing your first full camo with the airbrush. If I had the money I'd so be tempted by the set you bought... J. On the bench - Revell 1:72 F-16B

That looks pretty cool. You can try to freehand the edge of the cammouflage with slightly darker shade of the original colour to hide the underspray and other imperfections. ...and while at it, you can as well messing around with different shades of the same colour to make it patchy and break the monolitic surface a bit. It might not have been on the real aircraft, we are building models. The more messing around - the more fun. BTW this is what I found in my email: 2 Iwatas Neo for 118

@ Sean - that's some nice demo work with the airbrush and will look great on your Bronco. I must stop buying kits and saving for a set like yours! @ Filip - nice offer on those Iwatas.
