Just for a quick change decided to start on this figure.

The parts are all very crisply moulded with very little flash. Comes with a ration carton to rest the laptop on and even a little PE set for the hinges
The M4 comes from the spares box but I think is also by Legend, but he needs a personal weapon ;-)

They come off the pour blocks relatively easy but I did manage to take some of the rim of the laptop screen off.

After cleanup, arms on, weapon put together and started repairs on the damaged part

Cheers

Looking good so far, it'll look good in a vignette.

So trying to replicate ACU I base coated with dark gray (Humbrol 27) then painted the light grey (147) onto a dimpled surface and dabbed with a dimpled kitchen towel before dabbing the figure. Works OK for me...I think!

Then did the boots, face, gloves etc as well as working on the control case

Regards
Sean

Trying to visualise a wee vignette for him. Will have to include a wall for cover or something....anyway, i'll keep plugging away.

The ACU camouflage turned out very well, it can't be easy to replicate even in 1/35th.

Well done Sean. If you wanted to take it one step further you could mix up a very thin wash of the base color but a bit darker. paint the whole uniform with this wash and it will settle in all the crevices and creases and give your figure a lot more depth.

hi Sean lovely work on the figure. it looks very well and is nicely composed and looks natural you can almost feel the tension as he looks at the screen. in the right diorama setting i am sure it will be a winner.

Thanks Gentlemen.

Did the wash and felt I needed to tip up the light grey afterwards. What do ye think?

Anyway, he's finished now. Just need to place him in a suitable setting. Barrys kindly providing the cover....
I'll get more photos from different angles tomorrow, but time to call it a night now

Hi Guys, back here again...

Barry, thought you'd like to see what's become of the walls! Made up a little ruin and used filler to surface the ground. The figures were just placed to see the effect so far....will do some sanding and then repaint the entire thing:

Thanks again Barry
Sean

Seems to be a problem with PhotoBucket images on the site here....they're working else where.

Try these: http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc69/35th-scale/Models/WIP/Base1.jpg
